Still life with Fruit and Lobster – Dutch School – Oil on canvas

The canvas by Salvatore Marinelli is a painting inspired by Abraham van Beyeren Dutch painter, of the Baroque age, one of the greatest painters of still life . In the painting we observe the contrasts between warm and cold shades of color: a color that, spread in spots, defines the volumes, the contours of the various elements that make up the composition. From the dark background the lobster emerges in the foreground, the light coming from the right highlights the fruit on the table, contributing as a whole to highlight more and more the truth and simplicity of the subject of the canvas.
