In this precious oil on canvas, Salvatore Marinelli is inspired by the paintings of the Neapolitan school of the seventeenth century which had as one of the greatest exponents of nature posing the Maestro Giovan Battista Ruoppolo, the whose style in still life painting was particularly characterized by shades and dark backgrounds, in some ways similar to some paintings of the same genre by Caravaggio. Undisputed artist of still life, Salvatore Marinelli reveals his originality and wise mastery in this precious composition. This grandiose still life depicts a profusion of grapes, peaches, pomegranates, pumpkins and other fruits, lying on a table covered with an elegant green cloth, and a mountainous landscape can be seen in the background.
