Still life – Neapolitan School – Oil on canvas

In this precious oil on canvas, Salvatore Marinelli is inspired by the paintings of the Neapolitan school of the seventeenth century which had as one of the greatest exponents of nature posing the Maestro Giovan Battista Ruoppolo, the whose style in still life painting was particularly characterized by shades and dark backgrounds, in some ways similar to some paintings of the same genre by Caravaggio.
