Landscape with Fishermen – Neapolitan School – Oil on canvas

The painting by M. Locatelli portrays a glimpse of a luxuriant and bucolic landscape, probably Roman. The central portion of the scene is occupied by the noisy waters of the river, on the left a dense foliage of trees and on the right by picturesque houses that overlap on the river bank while to animate the canvas make the silent and almost anonymous appearance of themselves several human figures, probably fishermen.
